We founded the Del Mar Fish in 2008, installing a small system RAS for breeding cleavage catfish. But we cannot boast that our first experience growing cleavage soma was successful, as 8 years ago there was virtually no information available on how to raise fish in closed recirculation systems. Due to a misunderstanding of some important factors affecting the fish, we killed almost all fish seed, which we had.
But we are not going to give up. We realized my mistakes, made for myself some conclusions and have taken them into account in its future activities. This is what can be called experience and the benefits that it gives. A year and a half after our failure, we were able to achieve encouraging results: we had 10 thousand commodity fish – cleavage catfish.
We continued to develop and move forward, and already in 2010 we started to master the artificial insemination of fish and caviar production.
In 2011 DelMarFish first started selling fry of the African catfish cleavage. In the same year we first began to explore the theme of breeding sturgeon and engaged in their breeding.
In 2015, we were able to achieve a remarkable result: we got the first of the black eggs from its broodstock sturgeon.
Since 2008, our system of RAS has increased from 20 m2 to 1 000 m2. But we are not going to stop there! Del Mar Fish differs in that we are constantly evolving, moving forward, will improve their knowledge, techniques, as well as the quality of goods and services that we provide. To date, 50% of new clients referred to our company by oral recommendations from other customers.
