citric acid monohydrate food is a colorless crystals that look like sugar. The main applications of this product are:

confectionery industry. Here, citric acid is used as an acidifier and flavor enhancer.

Beverage production. In alcoholic and soft carbonated and non-carbonated drinks, citric acid is added to give them a feeling of freshness. In addition, it is a synergist, i.e. a substance that enhances the action of antioxidants, such as, for example, ascorbic acid.

canning industry. Here, citric acid is used as a preservative instead of vinegar, which is recognized as a carcinogen and whose use in most countries in the food industry is severely limited.

Oil and fat industry. Here, citric acid protects products from the decomposing effect of traces of heavy metals in them, by forming complex compounds with them. In this way, the likelihood of rancidity of fats, margarines and animal oils is significantly reduced.

Cosmetic industry. Citric acid is part of many cosmetic preparations: elixirs, lotions, creams, shampoos, hair fixatives, etc. Here it is mainly used as a pH regulator.
